           Nestled at the bottom of the Jura foothills, Cuiseaux offers visitors its medieval ruins including ramparts, a fortified 12th century gate, called the" Verger" gate, and narrow streets. 
            Throughout your walk you can also discover Renaissance houses, the Chateau of the Princes of Orange, and the 15th century Saint Jacques chapel. The church contains 13th century statues and 16th century sculpted stalls.

           Cuiseaux was an important winegrowing region up until the end of the 19th century. Today, only a few vinestocks remain on the hillsides.
